Ben Lettery Youth Hostel

“Connemara is a savage beauty”, – Oscar Wilde

This rural Galway Youth Hostel in Connemara is in the most beautiful area in the heart of the West! In front of the Ben Lettery Hostel is a long lake and behind it are the stunning Twelve Bens Mountains, ideal for hill walking and cycling. This area of Ireland is magical and is renowned for its beauty. A visit here will never be forgotten!

Clifden– a popular village with Irish tourists – is nearby (only 13km/8 miles or a 10 minute drive!) as is Recess (8km/5 miles – consists of a shop, pub and petrol station only). Ben Lettery Hostel is also a short drive from the pretty village of Roundstone (14km/8.5 miles) situated on the Atlantic Ocean.

Inisboffin, the island of legend and folklore, can be visited from nearby Cleggan. This Galway hostel is also a good base to visit the famous Aran Islands as it is located only 45 minutes from Rossaveal where the ferry operates.

Connemara is one of the favourite destinations of those looking to visit the “real” Ireland and Ben Lettery Youth Hostel certainly won’t disappoint!
