An Óige in partnership with Birdwatch Ireland is offering a unique opportunity to experience the dawn chorus on the weekend of 18 and 19 May.
The dawn chorus occurs when songbirds sing at the start of a new day. This is most noticeable in spring, when the birds are either defending a breeding territory or trying to attract a mate. In a given location, it is common for different species to do their dawn singing at different times.
Join us for dinner in Glendalough hostel on Saturday 18 May, on Sunday at 5 a.m. you will accompany the Birdwatch leaders into the magnificent Glendalough Valley to experience one of the wonders of nature. A continental breakfast will be served on return to the hostel.
The price of this weekend is €38 (children under 14, half price)
