Do you have an eye for photography ? Are you “Snap Happy” ?

photographic groupThe An Óige Photographic Group is an amateur group catering for photographers since 1938 – it’s the longest running activity group within An Óige.

Our Group meets every Wednesday night organizing digital presentations, lectures, Club Nights and a Photographic League for its members. Our premises is fully equipped for photography.
Field trips and special photographic weekends are also featured. Our Group is affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation and takes part in competitions organised by the Federation annually. A programme of activities is issued to members on a monthly basis and or check here for the list of up-and-coming Photographic Events. An annual exhibition of the work of members is held during the Summer in the National Botanic Gardens. Members of other clubs around Ireland are invited to submit entries and IPF gold medals are awarded for the winning pictures.
The Photographic Group also organises a Digital Camera Course for Beginners each year – this is the perfect course for anyone who has a camera still sitting in its box from Christmas or a birthday but with no clue how to use it! It’s also a great course if you have a camera and use it but are not getting the desired results and want to improve your photography skills. Again, keep an eye on the Photographic Programmes or check our page for Photographic Courses.
Check out our blogpost about our latest photography weekend in Glendalough Hostel.
