Leinster

 

Trinity College, the Chester Beatty Library, Kilmainham Gaol (historic jail) as well as the Christ Church Cathedral are in walking distance from our hostel in the capital. Need a place to sleep? Try the Dublin International Hostel!

Visit Mellifont Abbey not far from this beautiful place to stay. Find Trim Castle and Slane Castle southeast of here. The ruins of Monasterboice are worth a visit as well. The Newgrange Lodge Hostel is a great accomodation choice for this area!

 

Munster

 

Visit Reginald’s Tower while you’re staying at our Beach Haven Hostel.

You can visit Derrynane House or take a trip to the Muckross House and Gardens. The Black Valley Hostel is the place to go, after a long trip!

You can visit Derrynane House or take a trip to the Muckross House and Gardens, then finish it all with a visit of Ross Castle that’s 4 miles / 6 kilometers away. Tired? Check in the Killarney International Hostel.

Find the Rock of Cashel only 10 minutes walk from the Cashel Holiday Hostel.

Visit Dun an Oir (The Castle of Gold) during your stay at Cape Clear hostel.

Visit and experience the majestic Dunguaire Castle, then take a royal nap at the Burren Hostel.

 

Connaught

 

Ashford Castle (formerly owned by the Guinness family) is only 15 minutes walking distance away from the Cong Hostel. Also, don’t forget to check out Cong Abbey.

If you’re into castles, then you absolutely need to visit Aughnanure Castle, and If you have a car, then take a drive (only one hour) to Athenry Castle. Another pair of great sites we need to point out are the Portumna Castle & Garden and Kylemore Abbey. The closest hostels are the Connemara Hostel and Sleepzone Galway City Hostel

 

Ulster

 

Donegal Castle is a must see when visiting and exploring the city. When you’re done, check out, or better yet, check in Bluestacks Centre Hostel. If that’s not enough for you, give Glebe House & Gallery a visit. After all that walking do a little r&r in Errigal Youth Hostel.

Last but definitely not least is Glenveagh Castle. Take the guided tour and experience this 19 century castellated mansion. The Tra Na Rosann Youth Hostel is only an hour drive away.
