Tramore is close to many popular attractions such as the amazing Waterford House of Crystal Visitor's Centre and factory tour, and the Museum of Treasures located in the Bishops Palace and Reginald’s Tower.
Waterford & Suir Valley Railway

The magic of rails golden age has been brought to life in Kilmeadan, Co Waterford. A heritage narrow gauge railway follows six kilometers of the abandoned Waterford – Dungarvan route, from the station at Kilmeadan into Carriganore.
You can take a train-ride back in time and experience the beauty of the Suir Valley from a partially opened carriage as you take in the panoramic views of the river and rolling farmland of Waterford and across the river to County Kilkenny, for more details visit their website.

For the historians among you, located in the centre of Waterford City, this circular tower, part of the town's defences, was built in the beginning of the 13th century, with a second phase in the 15th century. It was also used as a mint, prison and military store. It has been restored and now houses an exhibition.
ACTIVITIES
Hiking/Walking: The sand hills at the end of the beach offer a spectacular view of the bay and the town. You’re sure to get a good work-out as they are almost 5 kilometres from the town centre! The back bay is especially good for bird watching.
Tramore also features the Donneraile walk along the West side of Tramore Bay and from there you can follow the coast down past the pier and out to the Guillamene swimming cove and Newtown Woods before reaching the famous Metalman guarding the mouth of Tramore Bay.
If you’re interested in more of an up-hill challenge, the nearby Comeragh Mountains are ideal for hiking.
Surf School & Adventure: Stay and Play at Tramore Adventure Centre where you can get Surf Lessons, go blokarting or landyachting, bodyboarding, Nordic walking and go on Eco hikes as well as team challenges for groups!
Surfing: Tramore is regarded as one of the top surfing and outdoor adventure spots in Ireland with three world class surfing schools located right on the beach.
Golf: Tramore's Golf Course is well regarded internationally, and other excellent Golf Courses, such as Waterford Castle and Faithlegg are only a short drive away.
Other activities: You’re spoilt for choice as Tennis, Pitch and Putt and Horse Riding are also available in or near Tramore
Nightlife and Eating out: After a full day’s activities, you’ll find plenty of good bars and restaurants in Tramore and in nearby Waterford City.
