What is it? From dance to cinema, painting to theatre, Bealtaine showcases the talents and creativity of both first-time and professional older artists. It is a chance for people to make new and challenging work, a chance to communicate traditions between the generations.

International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival – see something different??
What is it? An annual event, celebrating contribution of gay people to theatre, past and present.With an emphasis on new or recent international and Irish works with a broadly gay theme or relevance, the Festival has grown to become the largest event of its type in the world.
When? May 7th to May 20th

Dublin Dance Festival – dance, dance, dance
What is it? This festival has become the premier dance event on the Irish arts calendar. 2012 will see the 8th edition of the festival, and the fifth as an annual event.

Caughoo Howth Summit
What is it? This 2nd Caughoo Howth Summit 10k Challenge road race. The event takes its name from the local horse Caughoo who won the 1947 Grand National Race at Aintree. The scenic route is a challenging10km course, commencing at St Fintans Church, Sutton, going all the way up Carrickbrack Road, right at the Summit Shop, right again onto Baily Green Road and up to the Summit Car Park (turnaround and aid/water station) and then back down on the same route.

Skerries Traditional Music Weekend – lovely music in a lovely town
What is it? This picturesque seaside town plays host to a weekend full of music, song and dance reflecting the unique culture of the Fingal region. Leading artists travel to Skerries where they join with locals and visitors in a celebration of Irish heritage.

Dublin Writer's Festival
What is it? Dublin Writers Festival, Ireland's premier literary event, gathers the finest writers in the world to debate, provoke , delight and enthral. Described by the press as "boasting a stunning array of top international literary talent" and "the country's most successful and easily the best annual literary event", Dublin Writers Festival line-up is sure to impress.

Dublin City Soul Festival - a unique annual celebration
