Ocean to City
What is it? Ocean to City 2012 is Cork's annual unique 15-mile ocean rowing race. Now in its 7th year, it continues to grow in strength as one of Cork's premier annual sporting events. The race itself take place on Saturday, 2 June but as the event has grown into a maritime festival, events will take place 1 - 9 June, including exhibitions, music, guided tours, children's activities and craic for all the family onshore.

Street Performance Championships
What is it? International entertainment over 2 magical weekends this July The Street Performance World Championship is taking a hop, skip and jump into the middle of the summer and bringing an array of the world's best contortionists, piano jugglers, breakdancers, beatboxers and hula hoop artists to Ireland to compete for the title of Street Performance World Champion

Cork midsummer Festival
What is it? The festival will be presenting extraordinary theatre, dance, music, opera, visual arts and street arts from around the world, in all Cork’s major venues as well as in surprising locations all over the city.

The West Cork Chamber Music Festival
What is it? The West Cork Chamber Music Festival features a breathtaking line-up of nearly 100 internationally renowned musicians playing an exciting and challenging programme of glorious music, all staged in the spectacular setting of Bantry House and St Brendan's Church. Internationally acclaimed string quartets will join some of the finest soloists in the world for this feast of fantastic music-making.

Cork X Southwest
What is it? Cork X Southwest is a recent addition to the Cork festival scene and is held in Liss Ard Estate in Skibbereen in West Cork.
It is held over two days and features a multitude of acts including a heavy presence of Irish talent.

Cork Week Sailing Festival
What is it? Cork Week is held every two years and hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club, the world’s oldest yacht club located in Crosshaven, County Cork. The Week is Ireland's largest sailing regatta and attracts yachts from across the world, bringing the coastline along County Cork alive with the colourful boats – while the associated onshore activities ensure that the celebrations last well into the night!

Kinsale Arts Week
What is it? Kinsale Arts Week is famous for brilliant drama, art, fabulous food, music, literature and completely unforgettable events. 'Expect the Extraordinary' is the slogan, and expect plenty of famous faces along the way. The festival takes place in one of Ireland's most beautiful seaside towns, with world-renowned food, great hotels and cosy bars. Add in free events, family happenings and some of Ireland and the world's leading artists, writers, thinkers, actors and all round great people, and you have the recipe for one of the best nine-day-weeks of your life!

West Cork Literary Festival
What is it? the festival is hosting a series of diverse workshops, from Flash Fiction to how to write a Comic Novel, Songwriting from Jamie Lawson, poetry with Dermot Healy, Fiction and Novel Writing with Glenn Patterson and Claire Kilroy, Journalism with Lorna Siggins and the Short Story with Tessa Hadley. The Children’s Festival at West Cork has always been strong with readings, workshops and special events and this year organisers are very proud to present, Anne Fine, a distinguished writer for both adults and children whose novel “Madame Doubtfire” was transformed into a Hollywood hit.
