Day 1

Failte go dtí Corcaigh! Welcome to Cork!

Check into the Cork International hostel and after you are settled into your room walk across the road to University College Cork where the Cork Hop on Hop off Tour will pick you up from this stop.  This tour allows you to hop on and off around the city at any time and is valid for 2 consecutive days

Entrance to the Cork City Gaol is also included in the Discover Cork Tour which is one of Cork City’s top attractions – visitors will get a fascinating insight into day to day prison life from the 19th century. The Building itself is a fine example of the historical and archaeological heritage of Cork City and is well worth a visit for this alone!

Get back on the Cork City Tour and use it at your leisure to discover Cork’s treasures including the City Library, St. Finbarr’s Cathedral and the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery.

You will be spoiled for choice for restaurants for your evening meal so pick one and come make sure you make a note of the rest for the rest of your stay

1st night in the Cork International Hostel

Day 2

Start the day with breakfast in one of the many café’s around the City –make sure you fill up for a day of exploration! If you missed out on anything from the Hop on Hop off Tour the previous day that looked particularly interesting, maybe you might want to go back and explore this in more detail!

Don’t forget to head to the shopping district of St Patrick’s Street and the small streets turning off it where you will find a wide array of stores that will suit every need-you will definitely be able to pick up a few souvenirs here for your family and friends at home!

Enjoy the night life Cork City has to offer-there are plenty of pubs and clubs and there is always live music – there is plenty to choose from!

2nd night in the Cork International Hostel

Day 3

Fill up on a good hearty breakfast for your final day exploring the wonders of Cork City

This day is completely your own and it’s up to you to decide what you want to do! If you need any help on what there is to do, the Reception Team will be more than happy to help you out but one thing that you might like to consider, and this is a personal recommendation, is the Fota Wildlife Park on the outskirts of Cork City.

Fota Wildlife Park and also Fota House, Gardens and Arboretum are well worth a visit and there is definitely something here for all the family to enjoy! It is Cork’s most visited tourist attraction and has been awarded the ‘Best Family Day Out in Cork and Munster’. The Park is a natural attraction set on 70 acres on the scenic Fota Island in the heart of Cork Harbour. Here you will come face to face with free roaming animals and birds from all parts of the world-don’t worry the more dangerous animals are enclosed so they won’t just pop out at you! It is a fantastic place and in my humble opinion, one of the best things that you could do when you’re in Cork!

After a day spent trekking around a Wildlife Park, you are going to be famished so make sure you get fed and watered and enjoy your last nigh in the wonderful City of Cork as you see fit!

3rd and final night in the Cork International Hostel
