The riding school at the tiny port of Cleggan organises three-hour treks along the beach, crossing to Omey Island at low tide.


Connemara Trails offers extended riding tours across the region, taking in all the major sights.


Black Valley Hostel

You can hire horses and riding equipment and make your own way through the famous Gap of Dunloe – a great experience!


Bluestacks Centre

Donegal Equestrian Centre – it’s well recommended to go horse-riding on the surrounding beaches.


Only a couple of miles away are Mountcharles Beach and Inver Beach – both beautiful sandy beaches and blue flag Rosnowlagh Beach is approximately 6km away (3.5 miles).


Glendaloch International Hostel

What better way to enjoy the beautiful Wicklow landscape than on horseback? The nearest equestrian centre is Boswell Equestrian Centre in Annamoe. It offers lessons, trekking and lots more.      


Killarney International Hostel

You can hire horses and riding equipment and make your own way through the famous Gap of Dunloe – a great experience! Ask at reception for special offers at Killarney Riding Stables which does daily treks out through Killarney National Park for 1, 2 or 3 hours – depending on your stamina!


Yeats Village Accommodation

Beach rides, lessons, full day rides and special treks are offered in the Island View Riding Stables. This is also a little farm where you can find mares and their foals, chicken, ducks and many more to pet a little.
